FREE FOR ALL Friday!!

Hello blogging fans!  TGIF!!!!  I am wanting to share a freebie with you this wonderful Friday!!  "Short Vowel Four in a Row" is a game that I use in my Word Work Center during the Daily 5.

Directions

Glue the game sheets side by side on a file folder then laminate to make a game board.  Laminate and cut out the game cards and peices.   Students shuffle and put cards face down.  The first player turns over the top card, reads it, then puts a counter chip  on the game board for the one that matches their card (there are 4 different colored chips). Each time a player has a turn, that player puts the card in a discard pile.  The first one to get 4 in a row (including diagonal) wins.
Wild Cards:
The Parrot is a wild card.  If a player turns over this card, they can go on any space.
The Blue Bird is also a wild card.  If a player turns over this card, they can remove one chip of their choice.

Now it's your turn to share a Freebie on Blog Hoppin!!
